Unlike traditional robotics events with fixed tasks, the AgRobotics Ontario Challenge gives students freedom to think big. Teams began collaborating last fall with a local community partner to identify an authentic agricultural issue. They then use this real-world insight as inspiration for designing and building their own robot. Now, they are ready to compete in the final showdown.
New to the London Farm Show this year, Innovation Farms Ontario will feature their first student agrobotics competition, the AgRobotics Ontario Challenge. Come see the final showcase at the London Farm Show on March 6 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
This innovative robotics competition invited students from across Ontario to step into the future of farming by tackling real challenges facing today’s agricultural sector. Created through a partnership between Ontario Council for Technology Education (OCTE), Innovation Farms Ontario and the Western Fair Association (WFA), the challenge celebrates the intersection of agriculture, automation and cutting-edge technology.
